Paul Thurrott 称微软已经开始 Windows 7 的内部测试，于上周，向微软员工及相关合作伙伴公司推出了测试版 Windows 7。该测试版被称为 M3（Milestone 3），版本号 6780，在外观和功能上和 Windows Vista 非常相似。

并且在一些系统自带的程序中已经应用了 Office 2007 的 Ribbon 界面。

根据一些已经测试了 Windows 7 M3（6780）的员工介绍，这个版本的 Windows 7 稳定性和可用性相当的高。

据说，Windows 7 不自带 Windows Mail, Windows Photo Gallery 和 Windows Movie Maker，而是提供了 Windows Live 套件产品的下载，和之前 Windows Vista 的 Windows Live Messenger 类似。另外，传微软将会在今年年底推出 Windows 7 Beta1。

微软早已经正式公开了新版 Zune 和 Zune 3 软件的具体更新内容，其中 Zune3 软件新增了一些新的功能，比如：Mixview，Channels 等。并且该 Zune 3 软件可以在 16 日从 Zune.net 免费下载。

本周，Windows Live Messenger 发生了大范围的故障，几个小时无法登录 Windows Live Messenger。根据微软官方发言人，表示：

“Yesterday (September 10) and earlier today (September 11), we experienced two outages affecting a small portion of Windows Live Messenger customers. Caused by hardware problems, both outages were quickly addressed and have been fixed. The stability of the service is one of our top priorities at Microsoft and we are committed to providing our customers with the best service possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disruption any outage may have caused.”

这次的故障是由于微软的硬件问题导致的，并且微软很快修复了这个故障。

微软正准备向一小批测试者推出新版 Windows Live Messenger 9 Wave3 的测试版（而非之前泄漏的 M1 版本），相信推出日期已经越来越近了。

尽管在 Windows Live Wave3 Beta 测试版地址一文中提到多次：Windows Live Photos 照片相册已经存储于 Windows Live SkyDrive。从下图我们也可以看到，Photos 将可以通过 http://skydrive.live.com/albums.aspx 的地址访问。

SkyDrive 将成为 Windows Live 在线存储中心？现在这一疑问得到了部分的回答，微软已经将 Photos 照片存储于 SkyDrive 服务。尽管现在还不知 SkyDrive 是否会和 Hotmail, Messenger 等服务整合，但 SkyDrive 将成为存储中心，这是一个非常不错的趋势。

任平生发现了一张比较有意思的图片，之前在 Windows Live Messenger Wave3 更多功能和截图公开中也介绍过：

正如我在 Windows Live Messenger Wave3 的新特性介绍的一样，好友的头像将采用不同的发光颜色表示在线状态。绿色表示在线，橙色表示离开，红色表示忙碌。

感谢 BV2312 在 Windows Live Wave3 Beta 测试版地址中的提醒，新版 Windows Live Spaces Wave3 已经可以访问了，并且 Windows Live Spaces Wave3 中的 Profile, Friends, Photos 都已经成为了独立的服务了，而 Spaces 成为了一个纯粹的博客服务。

在 Windows Live Spaces Wave3 的 What’s new 中，新增了好友留言的提醒，以及简略的更新内容（比如：新增列表项的内容，留言的内容）；正如之前提到的，去除了 Profile, Friends, Photos, SkyDrive, Events 等服务的更新提醒。注意：Spaces 中的 Lists 功能是属于的 Profile 服务的。

Inca Mobile 推出了一款很有趣技术，用户可以通过带有 GPS 功能的 Windows Mobile 照相手机，在拍摄视频的同时，记录地理坐标。该软件叫作 Live Media GPS，目前正在 Beta 阶段，可以运行于 Windows Mobile 5, 6 设备（带有 GPS 和照相功能），并且是免费的。你可以实时观看视频，并可以查看该场景在 Virtual Earth 中的拍摄位置。
